National Tempus Office Serbia. TEMPUS is a European Union programme designed to help the process of higher education reforms in Partner Countries. It supports projects between the higher education sector in the EU and its 27 partner countries to facilitate university modernisation, mutual learning between regions and peoples and understanding between cultures.
National TEMPUS Office in Serbia (NTO) is a coordinating body for the implementation of Tempus programme in Serbia.
We are currently looking for prospective candidates for the following position
Office Assistant – in Belgrade
National Tempus Office Assistant is expected to:
- Maintain NTO project database, contact database and web page
- Assist daily management of the NTO operational budget, including reporting to the European Commission
- Provide technical assistance in NTO liaison activities
- Secure general functionality of the office including translation task, photocopying and all other administrative tasks (post-office, bank related issues,…).
- Assist National Coordinator in relation to the overall development of the Tempus Programme in Serbia.
- Assist the organisation and conducting of monitoring visits
- Promote and disseminate all information regarding the Tempus programme and other EC programmes/activities in the field of higher education (in particular the Erasmus Mundus and Jean Monnet programmes)
Candidate Profile:
- University degree or appropriate working experience
- A minimum of one year experience in a relevant field
- Excellent command in English Language; knowledge of German and French are preferable
- General understanding of higher education issues at European and national level
- Communication and interpersonal skills
- Organizational and management skills
- IT skills
- Clean driving record and experience

The selected candidate is expected to be ready to start on July 5th, 2010; duration of contract is 6 months with the possibility of extension.
